Adding or increasing / decreasing in course / calculation / Computation
行星運行速度增快/減慢
英文中Adding和Increasing為增加、decreasing為減少之意，而course為行星運行的軌道、Calculation或Computation為運行之意。在占星學的應用層面，主要是描述行星的運行速度比平均值來得快/慢之時。
然而古代占星學對於天體運行的概念，與當時的幾何天文學是有密不可分的關係的，尤其是托勒密所提出的本輪與均輪（Epicycle），即行星繞著地球運行的同時，行星的自轉也自成一個軌道的觀念。若要深究行星運行速度快或慢的原理，必須以古代天文學的邏輯來思考。
古代幾何天文學將行星繞著地球運行的軌道分為四個階段，若行星運行於離地球較近的兩個運行階段，行星對地球而言看起來的運行速度是比較快的; 若行星運行於離地球較遠的兩個階段，行星從地球上來看的運行速度則較為緩慢。
由此可知，行星運行速度的增快或減慢，取決於地心論的地球觀點，而地心論正是占星學建立的天文基礎，雖然現代占星學也衍伸出以日心論的觀點來解讀星盤，但仍單獨使用在世運占星的領域中，並非主流的占星學世界觀。
