Ascendant(Asc) 上升、上升點
相信即使是剛學習占星學的入門者，對這個字一點也不陌生。 英文Ascendant為動詞Ascend（上升; 攀登; 登上）衍伸而來，根據英國劍橋英語詞典，ascendant常以片語的方式應用：
“in the ascendant: increasingly successful or powerful”
越來越成功、有力量
例如：
He's very much in the ascendant in Hollywood.
他在好來塢的發展越來越成功。
而戴克博士多本著作中所附錄的專有詞彙中的定義為：
上升、上升點（Ascendant），通常是指整個上升星座，但經常也會特別指上升位置的度數，在象限宮位制中，也指從上升度數至第二宮始點的區域。
從天文學的角度上，上升是指出生的當下，從東方地平線正要升起的星座。
由於現代占星家多使用象限宮位制，對Ascendant這個字常止於上升點或上升度數的概念，即東方地平線與黃道星座的交會點，亦為象限宮位制中第一宮的起始點。
然而就古典占星而言，由於是整個星座宮位制與象限宮位制並用，因此在古代文獻中，Ascendant更多是指整個上升星座，不一定是上升點或上升度數。 無論是本命、擇時、卜卦等各支派的占星，位於上升星座中的行星通常比其它宮位的行星更加重要或活躍，就如上述劍橋詞典所描述，有越來越成功、越有力量的意謂，而且是越靠近上升點的行星，行星力量就越強力、活躍。
And make the Moon fit, according to your ability; and you should not put her waxing in any Ascendant, because this is to be feared on account of what happens to [the election’s] owner because of infirmities in the body, unless the lord of the Ascendant or a fortune are aspecting the ascending [degree].
此外，盡你所能使月亮處於適當的狀態; 你不應將增光的月亮置於上升位置，因為在這種情況下[擇時盤的]主人虛弱的身體令人擔憂，除非上升主星或一顆吉星與上升[度數]形成相位。

請注意上句ascendant與ascending degree的分別。 在此ascendant是指上升宮位，而ascending degree是指上升度數、上升點。
And it is necessary that you establish the Sun as the king, [and] the place of the Ascendant, and the houses are arranged from him just as you manage the indications of the twelve houses from the Ascendant: and you look at the places of the fortunes and infortunes from that, and they have influence over what every house from him indicates.
你必須將太陽當作國王，並將之視為上升星座來觀察十二宮位內的徵象，對國王可能造成的影響：觀察吉星與兇星的位置並對哪些宮位造成影響。

畢業於台灣大學外文系。現為知名物流公司海外部經理。
自2006年即開始學習現代占星，並於2012年先後跟隨韓琦瑩老師及秦瑞生老師學習古典占星，並向秦瑞生老師學習大六壬、印度占星及風水。2016年加入SATA占星學院擔任助教工作，並向班傑明·戴克博士（Dr. Benjamin Dykes）、梅拉·埃普斯坦（Meira Epstein）等多位國際名家學習古典占星學。2018年升任SATA占星學院核心課程講師，並擔任多位外師工作坊之即席口譯的工作。
2018年-2022年間曾任SATA教學部主任。現任SATA占星學院資深講師，負責SATA占星學院核心課程及理財工作坊等專題課程的教學工作。
同時亦專注於古典占星文獻的翻譯，為該領域專業譯者。譯著有《占星魔法學》（2017年出版，與孟昕共同翻譯）、《占星詩集》（2020年出版）以及《基礎占星︰本命盤解盤技巧》（2020年出版）。
